New Gate for JTSRR

Bill Shepherd spent a year designing, engineering and building a new gate for JT&S. He very cleverly kept it a secret that whole time and planned in advance so that the installation was quick and easy. This new gate makes a great first impression upon arrival and makes it much easier to open and close. Bill did this at his own expense and has made it a gift to us from he and his wife Mary. Of course we are all very grateful but be sure to express your appreciation next time you see him.

Bill mounts supports on footings he poured during a previous trip. He covered the footings with dirt so no one would know what he was up to.

Gate was transported in 4 sections and assembled on site. It was engineered perfectly so you can hardly tell it isn't one piece. Assembly was quick and easy. Paul Lavacot, Terry Watson, Tom Arnold & Paul Westover worked with Bill to put it together.

It worked great the first time! The hope is to make it automated someday.

Paul Lavacot is building the pedestrian gate that will be installed on the right side.

Looks great! Thanks Bill!
