Snow comes to Joshua Tree

On Monday, December 15th it started snowing in Joshua Tree. Bill Souder sent the following message and pictures:

I thought that everyone might be interested to know that it is snowinglike crazy above about 3500' elevation in the Morongo Basin. About 4" of snow at my house on the Yucca Mesa at 3900'. The speckles in the images are falling snow flakes.The Yucca Grade is closed due to the snow, so no one can get in or out. I barely was able to get to the site with 4 wheel drive, but got some good photos. Hope you enjoy. Bill Souder
